I am in Dubai and I have airtime in my MTN SIM, why can't I send SMS to Nigeria?

I can't receive call or make call send SMS on my phone

My SMS stop going through.... I checked if my mtn center number was correct and it was.... My network is strong and I have airtime.... So why is my message still not sending...
