How can I roam my number to the USA

I'm currently in the USA, I activated my simcard for roaming which worked in Amsterdam but not in the USA. How do I get it connected?

I dailed the *365*1# to raom my number, but I was asked to update my simcard. How can I update my sim card now that am in USA?
