You can retrieve your NIN by dialing *346# or check on your bank App.

Then submit to link the NIN by dialing *785#

To retrieve your line, Please visit any of our offices with your NIN which will cost you N400 any additional fee charged will be added to your line as airtime. To link NIN to your number dial *785# and follow the prompt or download MyMTN app on the play store or ios store on the landing page click on My NIN status and link your NIN. Note that submission is subjected to verification by the NIMC portal. Thank you

You can check your NIN Slip, it has your 11 Digit Number at the top left corner, on the second row. You can also dial *346# and press 1 to retrieve your NIN.
Please note that you will be charged N20 for dialing the USSD code.

To link your NIN to your phone number, kindly follow any of the following methods:
1. Simply dial *785*YourNIN# with the phone number you want to link
2. Simply text Your NIN number to 785
3. You can submit it via the myMTN app (Tap on the NIN banner and submit your NIN)
4. You can also visit https://nin.mtnonline.com/ and submit it.
5. You can also link via NIMC app. The app enables you to link up to seven numbers to a NIN. To access the NIMC Mobile App, visit nimcmobile.app (available for iOS and Android).

Once you have submitted your NIN, MTN will send a confirmation message when your NIN is verified and linked with your Number.

a charge of N20 on the service code *346# has been restored.
MyCustomer® will be charged N20 when they dial *346# to check their NIN, you can dial the code to retrieve your National Identity Management Commission(NIMC) without being charged.

Please provide us with your NIN, for further validation with NIMC. You can do this easily in one of the following ways:
1. By dialing *785*Your NIN# free of charge and following the prompts.
2. You can also submit your NIN to us on MyMTN app. To download the app, text ‘MYMTN’ to 5018
3. Visit https://nin.mtnonline.mtnonline.com
4. Should you receive the SMS below, reply with your NIN and send.
“Yello, To submit your NIN, simply reply this sms, include your NIN and send. You can also submit by texting it to 785. Thank You”.

After your NIN has been submitted, we will begin the process of verification with the NIMC. If your NIN is verified, we will link it to your MTN SIM registration, and you may not need to do anything further. If it is not possible to verify the NIN you have submitted, then you may need to visit an enrolment Centre, in person.
We shall provide further information on the status of your NIN verification once received from NIMC.

Once you have submitted your NIN, MTN will send a confirmation message when your NIN is verified and linked with your Number.

Please be informed that pending when verification of the submitted NIN is completed through NCC/NIMC, the status of the NIN details submitted is unverified; this means that you might be required to visit again for verification/validation based on outcome of the verification exercise.
