Do a customer need a sim card pack to upgrade to 4G

Hi Chinwe, when you visit MTN office to do SIM upgrade, a new SIM pack will be given to you. You do not need to buy it. MTN SIM upgrade is free.

To upgrade your MTN line to 4G,
Visit any of our service centers or connect stores nearest to you with the following:
Phone Number
NIN Number
You will dial *663#
You will receive an upgrade OTP
Correct details of your SIM registration (Your full name, address and date of birth).
3 Regularly dialed numbers within 30 days.
Last recharge amount and date,
A valid identity card (Driver’s License, Voters card, National ID card, NIN slip document, International Passport),
You will be given a free SIM but you might be required to also buy airtime.
You will need to back up your SIM contacts with us or save the contacts on your phone memory to avoid loss of contacts after the upgrade.

You can dial *123*7*1# to get information on the location of any of their shop closer to you.
When you dial the code, you will be required to enter your State, then your Local Government Area, you will receive SMS on the nearest MTN office address in your location, or you can use this link: https://www.mtnonline.com/personal/find-a-store/
